The unusual lengthy stay of this Grey Phalarope, found along the east beach in Dunbar on the 21st November, continued into December until at least the 12th. Although not the rarest bird, this 22 day stay gave most birders the chance to see and enjoy what was undoubtedly one of the highlight birds of the of the year… a little cracker.

GREY PHALAROPE - Thorntonloch, 9th November 2010.
(Found by Kris Gibb / Mike Thrower / Dennis Morrison)
Another Grey Phalarope was along the tide line at Thorntonloch on the 9th November 2010, this one was certainly more brief than the following Dunbar bird but did show extremely well. Good photographs of both these birds showed them to be different individuals.
