Surf Scoter, Musselburgh - May 2005.

Near annual in Lothian now, this Surf Scoter at Musselburgh in May 2005 wasn't a huge surprise but they are smart birds and always nice to see. The first Lothian record was also a male at Musselburgh which was shot in 1852.
Although pretty far out with Velvets, record shots were not impossible.
